Home IP Terms and Conditions

Your Home IP account will be available to you throughout your affiliation with UC Berkeley. This service is restricted to faculty and staff and currently enrolled students and account privileges cannot be continued after a break in affiliation with the Berkeley Campus.

Accounts will be cancelled under the following conditions.

  • If you are a student and are no longer enrolled, your account will be cancelled after the fourth week of the semester.
  • If you are staff or faculty and are not on the staff/faculty payroll for 2 consecutive months, your account will be cancelled after the end of the second month. Emeritus faculty may extend Home IP accounts upon application to User & Account Services.
  • Your account may be cancelled without notice if it appears to be associated with any use in violation of the Terms and Conditions and Computer Use Policy.
  • If you are staff or faculty and your employment with the Berkeley campus has been terminated, either by separation, lay-off, or administrative leave, the hiring department may request immediate cancellation of your account.
  • You may contact User & Account Services, 2195 Hearst Avenue, Room 111, 642-7355 or accounts@berkeley.edu if you have any question regarding the status of your account.
